Scope of Works:
We successfully completed the CV4 shuttle replacement at the Boddington site for Newmont. The scope of work included the replacement of shuttle rails over bins and the shuttle sweeps. The project was complex and required careful planning and execution across multiple shifts. Our team worked around various challenges, including weather delays and high winds, to maintain project momentum. The work began with scoping the site and completing necessary documentation, followed by the removal of old rails, grease lines, and hold-down bolts. The shuttle drive module was successfully lifted and replaced with minimal disruption to the plant’s operations.
Despite delays due to weather and some technical issues, the team demonstrated flexibility by adjusting plans to work around the constraints. For example, crane lifts were delayed due to wind speeds, but the crew used the time productively by continuing work on rail clips and preparing other components. The project was completed safely and efficiently, with all tasks carried out according to the agreed schedule and with no incidents.
